Cookie and Tracking Technologies Policy
Last Updated: February 15, 2026
Introduction
This Cookie and Tracking Technologies Policy explains how Magnesium Athletes ("we," "our," or "us") uses tracking technologies in our mobile application (the "App"). While mobile apps do not use traditional browser cookies, we use similar technologies to collect information about your use of the App.
What Are Tracking Technologies?
Tracking technologies are tools used to collect information about how you interact with the App. In mobile applications, these include:
- Local Storage: Data stored on your device
- Analytics SDKs: Software development kits that collect usage data
- Device Identifiers: Unique identifiers for your mobile device
- Session Tracking: Monitoring your interactions within the App
Technologies We Use
1. Local Storage
Purpose: Store your shopping cart and app preferences
Data Collected: Product selections, cart contents, preferred settings
Duration: Persists until you clear the App data or uninstall the App
Can Be Disabled: Yes, by clearing app data or uninstalling the App
What this means: When you add products to your cart, that information is stored locally on your device so your cart persists between app sessions. This data never leaves your device unless you proceed to checkout.
2. Firebase Analytics (Google)
Purpose: Understand how users interact with the App, improve user experience, and diagnose technical issues
Data Collected:
- Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
- App usage events (screens viewed, features used)
- Crash reports and error logs
- Session duration and frequency
- Approximate location (country/city level)
Duration: Analytics data is retained for 26 months
Can Be Disabled: Yes, through device settings or app preferences
Firebase Analytics Documentation: https://firebase.google.com/policies/analytics
3. Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
Purpose: Detect and diagnose app crashes to improve stability
Data Collected:
- Crash logs
- Device state at time of crash
- Stack traces
- Device and OS information
Duration: Crash data is retained for 90 days
Can Be Disabled: No, as this is essential for app stability
Crashlytics Privacy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
4. Device Identifiers
Purpose: Distinguish between different app installations for analytics and troubleshooting
Data Collected:
- Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android)
- Installation ID
- Device model and OS version
Duration: Persists for the lifetime of the app installation
Can Be Disabled: Partially - you can reset your advertising ID in device settings
5. Session Tracking
Purpose: Understand user journeys through the App
Data Collected:
- Sequence of screens viewed
- Time spent on each screen
- Actions taken (button clicks, navigation)
Duration: Session data is aggregated and anonymized within 24 hours
Can Be Disabled: Yes, by disabling analytics (see "Your Choices" below)
